From Brooklyn to Rome: one Slice at a time

Founder Tony Riviera created Slices from a lifelong passion for great pizza and one simple question: why cook a whole pizza when you only want a slice?

After years in the restaurant and pizza business, Tony kept returning to the same frozen-pizza problem: too much pizza, one flavor, and a crust that never tasted like it came from a pizzeria.

Word from our founder

"My passion for pizza began at just 11 years old in Brooklyn, working alongside my father, a master bread baker. Soon after, Joe DeCandia, owner of the legendary Lenny’s Pizza, became my mentor and taught me the art of making great New York pizza.

Between my father’s baking expertise and Joe’s pizza-making skills, I developed a lifelong passion that led me to become a Master Pizzaiolo.

More than 50 years later, that same passion inspired me to create Slices - combining authentic Roman pizza traditions with decades of craftsmanship.

Restaurant-quality Roman pizza, individually vacuum-sealed and ready whenever you are."

"I knew there had to be a better way"

Great pizza at home should not mean choosing one flavor, heating a whole pie, or accepting a compromise on crust. The idea behind Slices was simple: make the kind of Roman pizza we love, then make it work for real life.

Slices way

Here is how we did it:

01

Make it Roman.

Long-fermented dough and traditional black-steel pizza pans handcrafted in Rome, for our signature crisp-meets-airy texture.

02

Make it by the slice.

Choose different flavors and heat only the number of slices you want.

03

Make it freezer-ready.

Keep authentic Roman pizza close without turning every craving into a whole-pie decision.

The next chapter is in your freezer.

More than 50 years after I first learned to make pizza in Brooklyn, my passion for great pizza hasn’t
changed.

With Slices, I’ve taken everything I’ve learned and created a new way to enjoy authentic Roman pizza - one delicious slice at a time.
